Joshua Akom is a professional engineer, and professional quantity surveyor, with 10 years of experience working in contract administration, consulting, and project management. He holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alberta School of Business. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), as well as of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.

Throughout his career, Joshua has worked on projects across Canada and internationally, where he has developed a strong background in construction contracts and project management. Joshua’s experience spans varying project delivery and commercial models, and all stages of the project lifecycle.

As a contracts specialist on a large energy sector project, Joshua was involved in the generation, review, and overall management of change orders and compliance with specifications and contract documents on a multi-billion dollar contract. In this role, he was also involved in the review of construction claims.

As a cost consultant and project manager, Joshua has prepared estimates, bid documents, and bid submission packages. He has coordinated the design, planning, and construction of complex projects, ensuring seamless procurement of services and cost control, and effective communication with all stakeholders contractors. He has also been involved in the assessment of procurement procedures and capital budgets, as well as the development of construction schedules.

At Revay, Joshua is involved in the preparation and evaluation of claims and expert reports in the field of construction. His main tasks include the detailed analysis of schedules and delays, productivity and change analyses, and quantum evaluation.
