Sol Guimaraes is a civil engineer with 17 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He has eight years of experience as a project manager and nine years as a construction and project advisor.

Before joining Revay, Sol was a senior manager in the Major Project Advisory practice at KPMG with a focus on the successful delivery of large capital projects. He has supported clients with procurement, contracting strategy, project controls, project audit, claims, asset management, health and safety and technical due diligence services. Sol has served a wide range of clients from public sector, rail and highway agencies to power generation companies, contractors, energy regulators, municipalities, asset management firms and mining. He has hands-on experience in all phases of construction projects.

Sol started his career as a project estimator and worked in project and construction management for over eight years. As a project manager, Sol worked on projects ranging from hundreds of millions to over a billion dollars. His experience includes estimating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing infrastructure projects, including oil and gas, commercial and residential high‑rise buildings, housing, and water and wastewater systems.

He is fluent in English and Portuguese.
