Jon-Paul Kansky

Jon-Paul (J.P.) Kansky is a professional engineer with more than 25 years of technical, project management and supply chain experience in both owner and consulting organizations. J.P. holds a dual MBA degree from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a member of both the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).
J.P. has worked on a wide range of projects within the energy, industrial, institutional, commercial, and residential sectors. His diverse supply chain experience has involved the management and support of supplier, contractor, as well as engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contracts from inception to contract close-out. This includes writing, negotiating and monitoring contracts, as well as preparing tender packages, developing and reviewing change orders and claims, and resolving disputes.
Through his experience working for both owners and consultants across multiple sectors, he is able to integrate a wide range of perspectives and best practices into his work. J.P. is well versed in dealing with broad stakeholder groups and resolving complex problems, which is supported by his strong business acumen and technical knowledge base.
J.P. is also experienced with Project Management Office (“PMO”) work, where he has created systems, tools and a governance framework to support a team of 20 project managers and $500MM in capital expenditures. Prior to joining Revay, J.P. was responsible for the planning, development and exploitation of a major oil and gas resource in Western Canada. His work involved feasibility analysis, program scheduling, capital planning, scope identification and management of execution teams.
