Steven Hunt is a senior executive and professional engineer with over 35 years of experience in engineering consulting, construction, and infrastructure development. Throughout his career, he has held executive leadership roles in Canada and internationally, where he has led corporate growth initiatives, organizational restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation efforts.
Steve has extensive experience in project leadership, risk and opportunity management, claims, and commercial negotiations. He has been involved in over 30 design-build and public-private partnership (PPP) projects, contributing to all phases of project delivery, including team formation, procurement, financing, execution, and post-construction matters such as claims, warranties, maintenance, and long-term operations.
His experience spans the mining, oil and gas, ports and marine, transportation, and water and wastewater sectors. Having worked throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Steve has developed extensive international experience in business development, joint-venture formation, feasibility studies, construction supervision, and project delivery.
As a professional engineer specializing in maritime civil engineering, Steve has completed structural designs, underwater inspections, port planning studies, feasibility assessments, and construction management assignments for industrial terminals, public ports, shipyards, ferry terminals, and urban waterfront developments. He has also provided technical leadership and quality oversight on complex heavy civil, bridge, tunnel, marine, and rehabilitation projects.
Steve is recognized for building and leading multidisciplinary teams, developing successful business strategies, and fostering collaborative relationships that support organizational growth and project success.
